Each of us is unique and special and has her own individual talents to give. We’d like to tap into the talents and resources of our members to meet the Association’s goals of providing educational seminars, workshops and activities without cost to our members. Believe it or not, this can be done!
Some of us will be able to do fundraising, others can make items which our group can sell and still others have connections to companies and organizations who are willing to donate items or provide them at a discount to the Association. Of interest would be Association logo items such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, tote bags and jewelry. Other items which would be useful at our seminars would be pens, notebooks, printed materials and refreshments. Perhaps some of our members know qualified speakers who might also reduce their fees or donate their time to the Association.
Our members’ time is highly valued. Some of us barely have enough time to make a meeting or spend a few minutes on the forum. If you do have some time to donate, perhaps you have the gift of organization and can participate on a team to put our meetings, seminars and retreats together. Would you possibly be available to mentor other wives or to make contact with members or non-members on behalf of the Association in case of an emergency? The Association also needs members to help plan and organize activities. All teams will operate under the leadership of a Association Director so that no one feels burdened. Director positions are available as well!
Remember — you can be as involved as much or as little as you want! Just let us know what you have to offer — time, talent, or both.
